JIM & SUE KENNON
LEAD PASTOR

“Come, follow me.” This simple three-word invitation from Jesus has directed my life for over 50
years. From significant life-choices, to the important relationships in my life, to my career as
lead pastor in four churches, my life-journey with Jesus has been the primary influence in my life.

Jim began his walk with Jesus as a seventh grader in Cookeville, Tennessee, when he walked the aisle during a revival meeting and received Christ as his Savior and Lord. He later answered God’s call to the pastorate between his Junior and Senior year in college. His journey with Jesus has spanned five decades, has taken him across the country three times, serving as a lead pastor in four churches. Looking back on his journey with Jesus, Jim joyfully testifies of God’s amazing grace and faithfulness.

In 1976, Susan Fong joined Jim in his life journey when they met after a chemistry class at The Ohio State University. Five years later, Sue and Jim were married. Sue is a clinical lab scientist at Banner Del Webb Medical Center in Sun City West. The Kennon's have two grown children, Joshua and Stefanie.  Jim and Sue are the proud grandparents of Milo, Rhys, Elisabet, and Helena.

Three things excite Jim about ministry:
ï‚· + Introducing people to Jesus – there’s nothing better! Whether it’s giving an old-fashioned
altar call or sitting down over a cup of coffee and helping a friend understand the basics of
the Gospel, Jim loves seeing people meet Jesus.
ï‚· + Seeing believers grow as disciples- Jim loves to preach and teach the Bible. He is
passionate about people growing in their faith. He is committed to helping people
experience faith in practical and real ways.
ï‚· + A growing church – God, in his grace and mercy, has allowed Jim to experience numerical growth in all four of the churches he has led.

Jim’s pastoral experience has been effectively
leading three “turn-around” churches, with each church seeing substantial decisions and
baptisms for Jesus. Now, Jim is excited about leading Inspire Church and serving and loving
the people of Sun City West and the surrounding communities.

BRYAN AND TERRY HITCH
ASSOCIATE PASTOR

God’s call to ministry on my life came at an early age. I grew up in a Christian home where my parents chose to live out their faith with authenticity, integrity and great love for each other and for their family. My dad, Rev. Dr. Francis Hitch, was a pastor for 40 years and loved and nurtured his family until Jesus called him home in 2004. His personal testimony, preaching, teaching and character are the reasons I'm in ministry today. His love for music inspired us to fully embrace a family music ministry for over 57 years.

Music is the language of my heart. It’s the vehicle God has used and still uses to speak into my heart and life. He’s allowed me the privilege to write songs and speak into the hearts of others as a ministry, as well. And the great honor to lead others in worship. I am equally comfortable leading a band in modern expressions of worship and praise, as well as the great hymns of the faith from a piano. I strongly embrace the idea that God continues to inspire His church and its creative artists to express their faith and theology through new songs for the body of Christ, utilizing both the ancient and modern expressions of worship and praise of our Creator through music.

I married my best friend, Terry on August 25, 1984. We met at Judson College, now Judson University in Elgin, IL in 1978. We have four children, two with spouses; Jeremy , Emily (Kyser Anderson), Jacob (Megan) and Bryan, Jr. We have three exceptional granddaughters; Tilly, Taylee and Charly Anderson.
